I have a dachshund that takes care of the squirrels.

We have stray cats around here though. They don't mess with my stuff, thankfully. Birds are always crapping on the truck though. The price you pay for shade.

My Doxie patrols the perimeter of my yard every night before I go to bed looking for cats. He can't sleep until he does this. He gets his OCD from me I guess.

Cayenne & crushed red pepper does work. The only problem is it needs to be reapplied every time it rains.

I have the same cat problem. A wrist rocket, beers & cigars make for some decent entertainment after dark.

KC-10 FE out...

my neighbor had two cats that roamed my neighborhood freely, and before i sold it, i parked my viper in the driveway with the top down one day and went inside for a while. needless to say i went outside later that day to find one of the two cats taking a nap in my passenger's seat. my neighbor and i had a little talk afterwards. I've since then moved and now my neighbors all have dogs.
