If that doesnt work good enough try using a Magic Eraser and windex. Dont do this everytime though, only when you really need to. You could also try some "Bar Keeps Friend", it comes in a gold can they usually sell it at jewel-osco

What do you mean by "... brake crud off the back of wheels?

Are you talking about the inner walls?

i thought we did this a week or two back....my vote is for a professional detailer grade acid wheel wash....will not harm wheels when used as directed...no need for anyone to be afraid. simple green cut or straight...too expensive and does not work like the real stuff does....price of 32 oz bottle of simplegreen will get you 2 gallons of the acid...and cut your cleaning time to less than 2 mins per wheel with no hard rubbing at all.....i think most wheel cleaners would work for guys that wash thier trucks/wheels often simple green and over the counter wheel cleaners at wal mart and autozone....they would prob work great....but when it comes to someone that washes a truck once a month or even longer....some of this brake dust will start to become severly stuck to the rim surface...that is a need for a acid based cleaner....he says simple green and elbow grease...i would think he needs to step up his cleaning grade if he is rubbing with any effort or spending more than 10 mins on all his rims total.
