faded fender flares

faded fender flares

the fender flares on my 05 fx4 are kind of faded and dirty looking, they are the gray looking plastic, not painted. whats the best way to get them looking new again if thats possible.

Personally, I'm not crazy about the stock fender flares. I'm looking into OEM style EGR fender flares!

Anyway, an idea may be to sand them down and have them painted!

Ticman has used it.

Saw it in one of his posts. It looked REALLY good.

I think my kiddo is driving me towards grey hair already -- and she's only 4 months old!

I wasnt sure because I bought the truch used, are they supposed to be grey or were they originaly black?

Lucky for you that product comes in 2 colors...grey and black

I sprayed them with 303 2 weeks ago and they are still looking brand new, that stuff is great.

i'm apprehensive about spray on fixes for faded plastic. how long does the 303 and the meguiars stuff last? any problems with water run off?

Don't worry RP, I must be slipping even worse because I just saw this thread.



To the OP'er the Trim restorer works very well on textured plastic. The little foam paint brushes in the picture also make the job much easier and you be suprized how little product it takes to cover. It's well worth the money in my book. Top with Megs #40 and it will look like the picture above. Oh, the little foam brushes work very well with the #40 as well.
