Todays Detail

Well I've been a member of the forum for a while now, but I haven't had time to do much posting until now....when i finally bought an f150! Now I still have to get around to doing a full detail of that, and that will happen once I recieve the Zymol Vintage. For now, here's a detail of a close friend of the families vehicle. Story behind it is that he took it into a local dealership here for an oil change, who gave it a "complimentary wash". They obbviously didn't know, or simply didn't care about how to wash it....the truck came back swirled beyond belief, with MAJOR scratches on the hood. I mean if you stood back 10 feet you could almost see them. So I took to repairing it for him, so he didn't have to trust anyone else with it.

Process:
Washed with zaino z7(two bucket)
clayed with richardos clay(came out BLACK from red...scary for such a new vehicle)
Optimum hypercompound on makita da, orange cutting pad
Optimum compound on makita da, orange cutting pad
Optimum AIO on white poishing pad
Zymol HD-cleanse
Zymol Titanium
Rims I coated in some of the titanium after I clayed them.

Interior was Megs APC(I LOVE THIS STUFF)...and I know...I missed the pedals..
Dressed with vinylx
leather cleaned with z-9
leather dressed with zaino z-10
windows with GUNK foaming class cleaner.

final results

Thanks! I was really happy with the final results, but have to concur about black. That was 8 hours of work, but in the end I'm sure it's worthit.

Agreed. Very nice work.

I hate seeing black on the road, because it is always messed up, but it is SO much fun to take bad black and make it beautiful, as you have done. Keep it up!

Black is a PITA to keep up because it gets dirty so, but damn it's absolutely the nicest color when it's all done and done correctly.

Good job, I like that Z9 and Z10 for the interior. I just ran out of Z10 while doing the wifes seats in her CRV.

One bucket for soap and the other to rinse.
