Polishes and Pads

Hey guys..im gonna order the G100 before it gets discontinued....i was wondering about polish..im gettin a list together so which ones are better for a stone colored truck with minor swirls and spider webbing?

Meg's #83 followed by #80

OR

Menzerna Intensive Polish followed by Menzerna Final Polish

And then for this process...i want to buy my pads separately

One of the above combos of polishes (or something better)
Chemical Guy's Mirror Glaze
Poorboy's EXP sealant
Meg's #26

How much of each color pad (Lake Country) will i need to order to have plenty/right pads to do this job...thanks guys

Id go with Menzerna Intensive Polish then 106FF. Then CG Jetseal 109 x2, then Pinnacle Signature Series II x2.

I apply my LSP by hand. So Id just get the LC orange and white pads. Get the 5 1/4 or 5.5" pads.

If you are going Menzerna, I would go that way also .. IP will work fine, and is cheaper, for sure .. but the 106FF is some nice, nice stuff ..

If you are going Meg's, I would go #80, #9 with the G100. I am not a big fan of #83 and a DA ..

With #9 being a swirl remover, would it be better to go 9 then 80 to clear any hazing? Also, what is the name of the lights you guys use to inspect the surface to make sure you have gotten rid of any micromarring and/or hazing? Thanks! Where do you get that Menzerna 106ff?

In my arsenal, #83 is much better than #9 with a PC. For that extra kick and deeper gloss, Clearkote's Vanilla Moose is an excellent glaze to use after #80 and before your LSP.

Use #9 after #80. I know. The product name fooled me for a time as well. #9 is loaded with fillers that will help mask whatever the #80 doesn't get rid of.

I was suggesting replacing the #83 with #80 .. not #9 .. (should have clarified) #80 then #9 gives you a two step procedure sort of like IP then FP .. plus #9 has enough filler in it to hide the little stuff that isn't worth chasing on most daily drivers.

#83 can be difficult to get good results with from a DA for someone just starting out with the machine.

Haven't played with the Vanilla Moose in a long time ..

#80, then #9, then #7 or another good glaze .. then sealant, then top with a pure carnauba ..

I wonder if the Menzerna sold by properautocare is the fake "licensed by Menzerna" stuff. I get my stuff from detailersdomain.com

If you do get Meguiars products I would highly recommend the Megs 8006 and 9006 pads. #80 and (#9 or #82) is a great combo. I do really like #83 as well but it does as Gipraw says require some different techniques. The G100 at ADS with a 6 pack combo of 4 8006's and 2 9006's would be the way I would order it. About 200 bucks for machine and pads is pretty good esp. since the G100 has a lifetime warranty.

Why Thank you, Sir.
Hmmm...between the two of us, we might be able to figure out how to tell others about a website...
