Still looks good!!

Oct 20th was the last time I did a full detail but she still shines up nice.

I ONLY use the following products accompanied by a Ardex clay bar, Bug & Tar and Blue Goo dressing.

4218 CUT CLEAR A Synthetic Clear Coat Compound It is very mild and is used to remove light blemishes in clear coat paint. It will remove very light acid rain spots. Cut Clear is like a polish without the wax or silicone. Just the cleaning part of a good cleaner polish.

4212 SEAL-B A High Intensity Machine Brightener Seal-B is a lusterizer and swirl mark remover. It is exceptional on black and other dark colors. Seal-B is grey in color and will not show residue; very important to high volume detailers. Seal-B contains a very mild cleaner and silicone, but no wax. It won’t hold up by itself but it will accept a nice coat of wax.

4202 GOLD SUPREME Wax/Sealant This is a presoftened wax/sealant combination. Gold Supreme contains aminofunctional silicone polymers and the finest German waxes available. It’s fast, durable and brilliant to look at. This is a very long lasting wax. Comes in one pound tubs.

Never heard it called that but this is the bar I use.

5222 CLAY-MORE Use Clay-More, the detailer's clay, to remove light overspray and minor imperfections in the paint. Always use Ardex Spot Delivery as a lubricant for the clay.

I think with any product that if you have confidence in a product it always works better, just preference I guess.

I didn't mean it in a bad way... I call everything "stuff".

I have (or had) some Amber Gloss (don't ask me the number) and some Pure Gold wax around somewhere. The Amber Gloss was a very nice light polish if I remember correctly. Can't remember if I liked the wax or not?

That is an absolutely 'DEAD ON' statement! The bottom line is that there is a plethora of good products out there. Knowing how to use them is 99% of the battle... I mean, let's face it, any one of us can make a vehicle shine with a can of 'old school' Rain Dance and a hotel terry-cloth towel.

Nothing that any of us do as detailers is rocket science.

You got that right!! My first attempt at a detail was with a 69' Ranger xlt, Fire Engine Red that looked like powder, I rubbed half of the paint off it with a original can of No. 7 Red compound, about the harshest you can get.
All the hood lines, and any other sharp edges where down almost to the primer. A application of Turtle wax and it looked about as good as a new truck in my 16yr old eyes!
It actually came out really good and hooked me into the world of detailing, I detail probably 20 cars\trucks a year all are nicer rides than I'll ever afford but I do it because I like to.
I like to pick apart sections and try to see how to make it cleaner, what do other people overlook, stuff like that.

Yup, tore all my other stuff off and started with a clean slate.

Myself (Jim), My wife Mary, daughter Caryn, son Curtis w\ds and his service dog.
