Check out the sticky thread - download the tutorial.

I'm far from experienced, but I don't think you can go wrong with the Meguiar's 3 step Deep Crystal system if you are looking for stuff that can be had in stores. Cleaner, polish, wax.

Great stuff to start off with. Then you kinda nose dive off the cliff into detailing supplies, like I did. And do check out the tutorial. Good stuff

I've been trying to figure out how to cut corners on a detail job simply so I don't wear my old @$$ out - I think I've found a solution. I'm heading out to San Diego Thursday for Christmas, and possibly staying all winter - I'm simply gonna put my nephew to work. I'll tune up his old VW Bug for him in trade, he doesn't understand points and carburetors.

Or, you could drive down here to TX, and I will detail it for a nominal fee...Since you are a (respected) member here, I will make you a REALLY good offer... (Now ya just gotta get here...)

Not sure if you are serious, but if you are:

1. Let me know in advance (several weeks if possible) so I can clear off my schedule
2. Not after 6 months from now-- moving to Seattle in mid. September. I will probably not have very much detailing stuff with me up there-- probably just the bare essentials... (VERY limited space-- space is EXPENSIVE there)

Hmm... if I make a trip back over to MO, I can do Zaair's truck... and your truck...

The Final Detail may have a road trip to a town near you!

RP,

While your at it, swing by NE PA and do mine too.

Make sure you bring some warm gloves... you'll need them. I'll supply all the detailing stuff that you'll need, and I'll also supply all the Bourbon you'll need.

f-150sport03- With all the rain in Seattle you should stay really busy trying to keep your truck clean.

I'll be in Baltimore next week .. but I'd much rather watch you do your own.

although the liquor part sounds good .. but I prefer a good single malt.

Heck, I think I'd make a trip up there just for the aforementioned burbon. Mind you, Wild Turkey is a client of mine.
