Wax the new LT handles

Hey guys, I just got my lt handles painted from the stealership finally, my question is, before I put them on tommorow morning, should I wax them? Are there any disadvantages to doing this? As always, thanks

No need to let paint cure for stuff from the factory. VOC regulations require the dealers to flash their paint; that is, bake it. Therefore, the cure times do not apply for factory painted items.

Now, if you get a fender resprayed, this may be a different story-- it is harder to bake a fender than a handle in terms of ease of removal...

BUT-- if you want to play it safe, wait 90 days.

Personally, I would just wait 90 days. I promise, 90 days of the elements wont hurt them that bad...

f-150sport03 these were painted at the dealer level, not the factory. The Lincoln LT F150s do not come in this shade so he had to have them painted. I've seen plenty of dealers without an oven, I had to look hard to find one in my area.

Wait 3 months.

Do you happen to know if they were baked? If not, wait 90 days.

DOH! I knew that (read: I read it wrong)...

In that case, as others have said, 90 days till wax.
