Deep White

Just bought a 2002 Ford F150 that was owned by an electrical company and it hasn't been taken care of. I was wondering if you guys would happen to know how to get the deep white out of the paint, as in what type of wax could I give it to get the color back. Thanks for your help.

Here is the truck:

Wow, deep white is about as hard as swirl free black. hehe

First I'd read "The Sticky" very closely.

"The Sticky"

Personally I'd think about Natty's white, vanilla moose, maybe natty's red. I've actually had good results with Zymol on white.

Some of the other will have more experience with White.

Crazy,

I have had very good luck with the following combination.

2 bucket wash
clay
Megs #80 (cleaner)
Clearkote vanilla moose (polish)
Poorboy's EX-P (sealant)
Collinite 845 (LSP canuba wax)

Please read the sticky as JGG suggested and apply all coats very thin.

Have fun!

My name is RollingRock and I agree with this post.

If I changed anything, it would be the 80 pending the condition of the paint.

If you could get some close ups that would be great.... (fluorescent lighting)

The real question is how much time do you want to spend? How much money do you want to spend? Do you have any "real" detailing supplies? Have you ever done anything like we're talking about? This forum is where all of the OCD people hang out so it might be too much to bite off for some.

Is this what you're looking for when you say "deep white?"

If so, then follow the steps suggested by Powercat and RolllingRock. I can't guarantee you'll get the exact same results I did though because this paint was never abused in the first place. It will give you an idea what is possible though. Good luck and keep us informed.

Good looking finish there 2stroked....."Deep white" is pretty hard to achieve...reflective white maybe a better way to put it, or wet looking....maybe slick?

Here is a great post about white

I want my white to look that good too. Where does a guy find these magical products you mention above? You must have to use an orbital buffer. I have done some detailing in a shop before so I have the general equipment opperation down but where to find my own products i don't know. I always just used what they had.

If you are looking to get Poorboys, Optimum or ClearKoat products you cannot get them at ADS.

Just thought I would point that out.

Megs Gold Car Wash for 2 bucket method. Megs Blue Clay bar with Megs #34 Final Inspection as lubricant. I used a G100 DA buffer I got from ADS for application. Megs MF towels to wipe off.

Megs products & buffer from www.autodetailingsolutions.com/
Clearkote and Poorboy's from http://www.specialtymotoring.com
Collinite 845 from http://www.autogeekonline.net/

I know that the shipping is a pain from 3 different locations, but satisfaction / gratification of smooth sleek truck is worth it!

I looked into www.autodetailingsoultions.com and one major problem is that they don't ship to Canada. What else you got for me.
