My truck is being sand-blasted

Just needed to rant.

We're having some pretty nasty winds right now in N. Texas.

My truck is sitting in the parking lot covered in dust (it was spotless this morning,) and being hit with 40+ mph winds.

Man I feel your pain. I live in the wind tunnel here in So Cal. at he base of the mountains on the 15 freeway. We get high winds regularly and had it really bad a couple of weeks ago (80-90 mph gusts) that blew several semi trucks over. Driving through it to get home made me cringe. Sounded like I was in a sand blaster.

I washed my car yesterday so I could put a coat of #16. Well it was an experience to say the least. I keep the car in the garage, it was in the campus' parking lot for 3 hours, and it's covered in pollen dust.

Where are you in North TX? or are you down around Dallas that people down south "call" north Texas.

in Texas but a mere 100 miles from Kansas. Now that's North Texas.

Windy ****

Hey attworth...We're gettin' pounded by the wind here in southern Okklahoma too. When I got home today there was a 55 Gal. drum (empty) blown about 150 yards away from my shop. It was sitting just outside the shop this morning. Other assorted junk was blown around as well. My truck was fairly clean also until today and it's got a thick coat of dust all over it now.

I was just outside of your neck of the woods a few days ago gettin' some leather put in my truck at South Side Trim in Irving, Texas. They told me they have another shop somewhere in Wort Worth also.

You ought to look 'em up and get some leather covers in your truck. It'd be the only STX on your block with leather innards I bet.

I hear ya on the wind though. It has finnaly calmed down here. Yesterday was straight line winds at 50 mph with gusts at 65-70mph. NE of here a grocery store actually had it's roof blown off by straight line winds. crazy.

Glad I was in the beater and the truck was out of the weather. for the most part anyway (carport with houses close)
