Awe, thank-you very much.

Is/was this #16 a pure carnuba based paste?

a 1 min search on the web found this:

Meguiars never produce anything that is less than ordinary and #16 Paste Wax follows that tradition. Using an exotic blend of waxes, this is a pure wax that contains no cleaners or abrasives.

Suitable for all paint finishes including clear coats. It leaves a really wet glossy coat, with absolutely insane beading!

As with all waxes, apply thin coats a panel at a time.

One thing you won't get out me....where I bought it.

My bet is that #16 and Natty's red are VERY similar.

I have Natty's Red back on my truck right now, that stuff is just awesome.

Its also on Jwools ride and its the first time I have seen it on black.

You can laugh about it after a few beers! I cussed the whole time I was taking it off. Now it is fun to read about others making the same mistake. Make sure you have a few cold ones after that.

Nah... wasn't cancer. It was air pollution.

EPA Region 9 (ie: People's Republic of California) is typically the trendsetter with regard to the the environmental regulations that are coming down the pipe. That said, they passed some air regulations that SPECIFICALLY TARGETED car care chemical manufacturers which, in turn, forced them to change formulations, drop products, and modify how the products can even be sold. In a nutshell, there was a huge crack down on volatile organic compounds (VOCs)...

Don't be suprised if you see this regulation span out across the other EPA Regions here in the United States. In my honest opinion, it'll put a boatload of the bathtub blender types (small, mom & pop labels) out of business as they won't be able to do the R&D necessary to make sure that their products are VOC-compliant and still top notch products. My two cents...

That sounds about right... few people will have the finacial resources to meet the new requirements.
