Recommend a buffing compound?

SO, dummy here scratched up the roof of his F150 pretty good. While up in Indianapolis on Friday, I attemped to go into a parking garage, wasn't paying 100% attention in all the traffic to the clearance marker (which was 6'2") and hit it. It was one of those pipe looking things, and was rough on the bottom where other dumbasses like me had hit it...so it scraped up my roof pretty good. It didn't break any paint that I can see, so I think I can buff it out.

What's a good buffing compound?

Can you feel the "scratches" with your finger nail? If so, you're not going to be getting them out.

I'd try some Scratch-X though.

Agreed. This definitely a photo opportunity for us all to learn a bit...

Concrete versus painted metal yields concrete as the winner every time...

Bummer that it happend... I was in a parking garage down there near the RCA Dome about a year ago (going to watch the Dolphins get their butts handed to them by Peyton) and REALLLLLY didn't feel good pulling the truck into the structure that I was in...

You going to be at the meet in Lex next weekend? If so, I'd be happy to give it a look -- although, the early prediction is that the weather is going to be ultra-crappy.

Pics will really help us out on this one, bud. Hope to see you in Lex!

Concrete? Most of those clearance markers around here are just large PVC tubes.

Good catch... classic mis-read on my part.
