Weekend detail.....

Finally got a good sunny weekend to vaccum the truck and give it good ol wash. This is the first time I washed it with my new Roush grille and new Mark LT handles installed.

Products used:

Meg's Gold Class Shampoo and Conditioner
Stoner's Invisible Shine for the glass
Stoner's Trim Shine for the tires
303 Aerospace protectant for all the trimmings.
Mother's Chrome polish on the rims and door handles.

The water still beaded like crazy, since it has about 6 coats of wax on it, lol, so I did not wax this go round.

Wow! What a difference, I must be honest.

More to come....

They were originally black Husky Mud guard, but I took them to a local detail shop here in town and I had them paint them for me.

Thanks for the compliments.

Lol. Thumper where do you think I have learned all that I know now, since I have had my truck. Right here in the Detailing forums.

Why not use Stoner's More Shine on the tires since it's designed for tires? Or have you tried it and just liked the Trim Shine better? Are those wheels even chrome? They look like they're aluminum with dark grey painted accents which leads me to think they're also clear coated. If that's the case you don't want to use metal polish of any sort on them.

Regardless, the truck looks good.

esf. What I used is the same stuff, it is called Stoner's More Shine, Less Time wheel cleaner. Sorry for the confusion.

I only polish the chrome areas of the wheel to give more of shinier look. It has worked flawlessly each time. Thanks for the advise though.

Yep, Monkey-1's is next.

Heh. No problem. Was more curious than anything since I use the More Shine and really like it. I was wondering how you like the Trim Shine on your tires but never mind.

I actually called a Stoner's rep last year and questioned them about both those products, because they seem to do same thing. The rep told me that both could, but to stay within the guidlines they had to create 2 separate products. So he didn't say it, but I could tell he was trying to say, "yeah you caught me".

That is why I stayed away from the trimshine. But I really like the More Shine stuff. It is the best tire cleaner I have used, it doesn't come off the tire and onto my paint either when driving. I am a huge Meg's fan, so kudos to Stoner's for the More Shine product.

Take care brother.

Have you ever used Hyper Dressing?

I bet you will change your mind after you use it. I just used it for the first time today and I'm in love with it.
