Particles in paint?

Noticed today I have little black specks and all in my paint. I washed, waxed, everything to get them off. Nothing doing. They are on the surface. What is good to get them off?

I am suspecting some tar. Try some Gunk Tar and Bug Remover. Report back if that doesn't work.

Both great suggestions, anyway you can get a photo?

Follow up question...these "spots" can you feel them in addition to seeing them? Raised up bumps?

Regardless, my choice would be to clay it.

If you can feel them then its sap. If you cant then it might be acid rain etching.

Not rain, and you can barely feel them. With heavy rubbing I can see them streaking on the paint. Lemme get some pics...

Ok, then use a clay bar, or mix up some isopropyl alcohol and water 50/50. Spray it on the paint and wipe off with a MF towel.

Its probably sap. It can smear. Do you park under trees a lot? Or near them?

Not sap. Its like a lot of little black specs. I took pics, but you cannot see them. I park under a carport at my house and all we have are bushes.

I tried the alcohol trick and thats what got it to smear. I tried some Gold Class wax on it but nothing doing. Where can I pick up a clar bar? Wal-Mart has the Megiuars one, but its a little iddy-biddy thing!

Sap can look like that too, like little black heads (gross I know)

Clay it and report back. 12 Pack of RollingRock says it takes care of it.

You can get a basic set from Autozone etc...the Megs clay is will work for you.

As for using it...

Check the sticky out it is covered there.

Cut the bar in half work with one and save the other...if you drop the clay, throw it away, grab the other half and don't drop it.

Use the QD from the kit and spray a small area, 12X12 or 24X24 and uses the clay on the surface until you feel it release...it will make sense once you start. Fold the clay over and keep using it....go on the to the next section.

Cheers

Make sure you send that beer too.
