Angry Plastic Running Board Steps

I have a 2006 lariat with the 'tube' type running boards that have the 2 plastic insets that you step on to get in/out of the truck. Does anyone know if we can replace these 'steps' with rubber ones so that they dont look like hell from getting scratched up? I hate that my whole truck looks great - then you look down and it looks like a cat had a field day on the runningboard.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

i don't know of any products like that, but i tell you, if someone would make those i'd for sure be in for a set... if nothing else than to have maybe alittle step traction in the winter.

After I slipped off one and nailed my shin on it during an ice storm, they promptly got taken off and put overhead in my garage. I'd rather use nothing at all, then something that completely fails at it's purpose...lol.

Maybe spray them with some rubber undercoating spray paint? Then again, I don't know how good/bad that would look.
