Meguiar's #16

Is this stuff really the best? Sadly I found 5 new and unused tins. Should i use this as my LSP or #26?

from what i've gathered #16 has the longest lasting protection. So if your not OCD like alot of us are and you don't plan on waxing but twice or three times a year this may be a great choice for ya.

I'm not 100% sure on all the other characteristics of #16 so itd be good to have a few experts charm in.

#16 is looks better and lasts much longer than #26. It's my favorite wax for darker color vehicles.

You found 5 tins? Lucky you.

Is it the best? While I haven't used it (my tins arrive in early March) I know its durable, but then again, so is Collinite 845.

As for looks, I cannot tell you anything yet, but my personal opinion and this is only my opinion, I don't think LSP's have as much to do with pop as people think.

The steps before LSP to me are more important. Polishing the surface and using glazes etc seem to do more to me...at least in my eyes. Honestly I don't think I can see the difference in depth with various LSP's.

Agreed. I think 845 has a little bit of a saran wrap effect compared to #16 being flat out deep and wet looking. IMO I think they both are just about as durable as the other. Everyone needs to realize, choosing products is completely personal preference more than anything else.

well said.

My personal prefernce is Natty's Red followed by Natty's Blue followed by C845, then S100....I love S100 b/c of how freaking easy that stuff goes on and off.

I agree also. I'm a big megs fan, they make great products that are affordable for the average man. So kinda like Ford, they got me hooked.

#16, in my opinion, is simply put - one of the best waxes out there. It's an old school hard paste but, it adds a boatload of depth, is very durable for a carnauba-based product, and is very easy to work with.

Having worked with loads of last step products, it remains to me as one of my favorites...

You need to tinker with more black paint. It'll have you, at least, humming a different tune.

Feel like hooking a brother up? If you can, shoot me an email or just reply back. Just one tin, I only need one tin...

Now, off to rehab...

Guys... let's not turn the forums into a 'I want to buy it!' exponanza. If it goes that route, I have to clean it up.

My appologies Rock. I should have known better.

If anybody has a supplier for this lsp that they would like to share with us, please do.

No problemo, bud! I bet the weather in Tampa is pretty decent right now... it's been rainy/snowy/icy EVERY day this week. It has me in a stooper.
