Options for Mobility

I'll be moving out of my mom's house (again) and back out into the apartment world. Thus, I'll be losing my work space.

What are my options for detailing? I'd love to buy my own land and build something, but I don't have the money for that.

Are there any "rent-a-garages" in the DFW area? I know on base (if I was military,) I could rent a space to use for a low fee. This is great when my brother is in town, but he's rarely here.

I thought of using a big canopy with removable walls, but I don't have a big enough empty space, and then there's the issue of electricity.

I don't want to stop my hobbies, but I've gotta get out of the house.

Any ideas anybody?

Work out a deal with Mom to use her garage.

Due to the size and height of my truck, I do all of my detailing outside. Basically, you learn when and where the shady spots are... As for electricity, there should be some outlets outside around the apartment complex. If not, invest in lots of extension cords.

She's converting it to an office.. And the less time I spend there the better off I'd be.

Dust is a big issue for me. I need something enclosed and relatively dust free.

Are you looking for like a portable carport to store your truck in?

Not really. I'm hoping for some sort of "Rent A Garage." I haven't been able to find any in Google though. I don't want it for storage, but for detailing/working on my vehicles.

Hmmm... I've noticed that a lot of the newer apartment complexes have car detailing bays... Might want to look for one of those.

Try looking for an apartment complex with garages. It costs extra for the garage but comes in handy.

You can find just what you want for a price at Cabela's... They have wall tents that size.
