Looking for good wax

Just curious to what wax you people use to keep those trucks looking good?

You are going to get lots of responses on this, so be ready.

Your question is like asking what is your favorite fast food. So many choices but they are all unique.

What are you doing before you Wax? Are you doing a full detail? Wash, Clay, polish, seal then LSP (Wax)

If you don't prep the surface and you are just "waxing" you are driving containments deeper in your surface.

My advice after you get all the responses is to read the detailing sticky at the top of the section.

Personally, I use NXT (X2) followed by #16.

The only wax I have is Meg's #26, and it's good stuff.

Also use PB's EX-P as an LSP.

You're in luck... there are lots of great choices. A lot have been mentioned already, and I'm sure more to come.

However, the key to great looking paint work is in the prep... cleaning, polishing, glazing... etc. If you do that right, almost any good wax will look great, and a great wax will look outstanding! If you don't, you'll never get near the results that are possible with the correct prep.

Good luck

Carnauba's:

Pinnacle Souveran (personal fav on dark vehicles)
P21S 100% Carnauba
Pinnacle Sig. Series II (Personal fav for light metallics, REALLY makes the metallic pop)

Synthetics:

Klasse AIO
Collinite Insulator wax

But as Rolling said, this is a VERY opinionated topic and noone will have the same answers. In the end, you will use what works for YOU.

X2... and X2 again.

Just about any 'Joe Blow' can take any wax off of the shelf at your local 'Mart' store and make a finish look shiny and leave some protection behind.

The key, as Boss mentioned, is in the preparation steps BEFORE the 'wax'.
