Thorough Detailing

I finally got a chance to clean up my truck (my girlfriend was out of town). Thought I'd share a few pics...

My steering wheel looks horrible but that's about the only flaw. It was like that when I bought the truck...

Here's a few of the outside. I know the wheelwells look horrible but I drove down a dirt road in the rain recently... on purpose.

Not bad for eight years old with 130,000 miles, huh?

Looks good!

Suggestion: Buy a WheelSkins!!! A little bit of a PITA to install, but looks factory when installed properly. (And its only roughly $35)

Not bad, but it ain't clean until you clean and dress the wheel wells. Sorry the door was open, speaking of door, get a MF wet with QD and wipe down as far in the fender wells as you can from the open door, get the seams, door sills, jams, bottem's and tops.

don't forget to clean the gas cap door and area....while you are at it, lower the tail gate wipe down everything, get between the cab and bed....

don't forget to get the cup holders, I see some dirt in there. Sucks about your steering wheel, find a good wrap or take one off a salvaged truck.

That's a little more thorough.

Turned out great

Not to add to RollingRock's list, but I'd try and clean up the head lights too.

Yeah, we gotta ease him in the OCD world. Clean to me may not be the same to other OCD members.

Looks good.

Did you clean your front floor mats? Can't forget those. Keep up the good work!

I'm not trying to be cruel but that isn't even close to thorough around here.

I agree with Thump.

Your engine compartment looks anything but.

I do understand the wheel-well issue.... I had that area myself.

My neighbor tells me everytime he sees me cleaning it. "You're going to wash the paint off that thing."

Yep. It's mildly depressing but, like the rest of you'z that are OCD, we all know that it looks better.

And, like JGG, I've heard the '...wash the paint off of it...' comments too.

They just don't understand... They never will. I've stopped trying to convince most of them. Now, they're clients.
