Help please... Wheels

I have salt or something on the inside of my wheels.... They are chrome wheels (probably clearcoated) from KMC... they are the Rockstars... On the inside of the wheel there are little raised bumps (salt) that are dark and I cant get them off... I got under the truck with a stiff bristled brush and some Meguiars Hot wheels cleaner and scrubbed and scrubbed and coudnt get the stuff off....

What do i need to do?

Also on one of the wheels it looks as if the chrome is turning "golden" on a small part on the face of the wheel? How can i fix that?

I dont know how this happened i take such good care of her....

Hard call, honestly... I'm definitely not a 'metal man' but, someone can probably put their finger on it and help you out.

We'll wait on the pics...

Can you guys please give me tips on how to keep my wheels looking there best... Products, application and cleaning techniques and stuff... thanks

I would like to give them a light polish, and then seal them up... i was thinking some M80 followed by some M21, and then maybe a final coat of poorboys wheel sealant...

That just looks like quite a bit of build up. You will probably have to take them off and work at it with a bit more aggressive polish (chrome polish really isn't aggressive at all). Maybe something like NXT Polysh or Hot Rims Mag & Aluminum Polish (can be used on chrome).

Correct-o-moon-do!

Quote: If you have some type of coated metal, for example clear coated aluminum wheels, then the first products of choice for this type of coating would be paint care products since you're working on paint and not bare metal.

that looks like pitting on your wheels.... can not fix with a polish.. i just got rid of my chrome 22's because of pitting. i dont think you will be able to do anything about that, unless they are still under warranty!.sorry bro

See but its not "pitted" into the metal... they are raised bumps... like if i run my finger over them i can feel them raised up... and i can catch my finger nail on them...
