For my money, I'd stick with the tried and true clay. Blue is one way to go but...
If you have simple overspray (as in a light misting - not globs), the regular clay that you have should do the trick. Remember, you can work an area more than once -- in fact, it's recommended to go over the same area a time or two to ensure full removal.
How serious of a try did you give it the first time?
My 'old' clay typically goes to my windows to finish out it's effective lifespan... one thing stays the same though - if it hits the ground, it's trash.
