I might get flamed for this, but how did you clean the engine. The plastic parts look like you used the wipes again.

Looks very nice. I love silver and you got the to pop.

#20 is my favorite for silver. give it a try next time.

I haven't tried the vinylex wipes. I may need to pick some up.

How well does Vinylex (sp?) respond to water/rain/washes? It looks absolutely amazing, almost too good to be true...it looks like it will run if wet. Any experience there?

Two big thumbs up though, great detail

Well figured i'd better chime in here... lol

Brad is a master at his craft. I never I would get the truck to look this good. It never looked like this when I recieved it off the lot that is for sure. I am more pleased with the knowledge and confidence that I gained yesterday more than the results of the truck, but it does look outstanding though.

I got more looks on the way home than I usualy do that is for sure. The Vinylex is the way to go for sure. I asked the fourm a while ago what to use to bring my flares back to life. Black Wow was mentioned as well as the PB trim restorer. As you can see, none of that was needed. I will keep everyone posted on the durability of the product after a rain.

Guys, when Brad (RP) says jump, you all better say how high. He knows his stuff. Give the fact that the paint was in pretty good shape we were able to focus on nick and scratch removal. ScratchX is the bomb!!! Man, that is my new fav. product at the moment. As Brad mentioned it is hard to really add to silver as far as glaze and polish goes. Just the NXT 2.0 made this puppy shine like a new nickle!

Thanks again Brad, always a pleasure!

Thanks, Luke. I enjoyed working with you in making it happen.

Now, get ready for it to rain tomorrow night and return it to dirty! HAHA!

BTW, I was up until about 2am working on mine... hahahaha... I just couldn't stand that yours left my place looking 100x better than what mine did!

Looking at mine in the sun this morning, I'm swirled beyond belief. My paint needs a BUNCH of love right now. I would do it this coming weekend but, I think I'm going to work on that Vette (red, 1991).

Again, my pleasure. Take it easy and don't be a stranger once you migrate into corn country.

There are about 75 miles between my place and Luke's place... the wheels still look FANTASTIC.

Did it sit outside last night, Luke? If so, how did the NXT Protectant do on the tonneau. Does it look blotchy now (you're a guniea pig for me on this application).

Actually it sat in the garage last night. But it did get a bath today. The tonneau cover still looks like it did when you cleaned it on Sunday. Much props to that Vinyl cleaner!

The cons...

All the places where the Vinylex was used are poopy. Once water hits them and they start to streak. This also is true once QD hits it as well. Noticed that yesterday when I had to scrape the bugs off.

You will be happy to know that I also cleaned out the interior as well. More pics tomorrow after I hit it with the #26.

Bummer on the flares. I was really hoping that the Vinylex would have a little more 'oompah' than one wet-test.

Then again, it is a water-based product... Water probably brings it back into solution and thus, makes it blotchy.

Well, there goes my solution for my flares. For now. Guess I'll check out, Black Wow? And others.

Luke, truck looks great!
