Good foaming gun?

I use a foaming gun at work to spray down the drive-thru pads and such in the morning. The one I use holds maybe 1/2 qt. and foams the regular purple DCT Industrial-grade Degreaser into a nice foamy white which covers about 25' x 25' before running out. I thought maybe a larger tank filled with proper car soap and this device would be 70% easier to wash the truck! I kno they're out there guys, lets get some info rolling on these things!

They've been discussed around here many times raptor.

ADS sells one, Autogeek has one.. I'm sure there's others. They'll all pretty much the same I think. There's also foam cannons which you hook to your pressure washer.

OK so it's really not a new product it simply is one that attaches to a pressure washer.

I still use my buckets (one for wash, one for rinse.) But this makes it 100X faster to do..

I coat one side of the truck first. Grab my mitt which has been soaking in the soap bucket for a few minutes. Then I start wiping down the panels, usually 1/2-3/4 of a panel at a time. Then I go rinse the mitt along with all the dirt in my rinse bucket with the grit guard, in between panel sections. Repeat.

The great thing about spraying foamy water on the surface of the paint rather than just water, is the foam picks up some of the dirt, and makes for a smooth surface. Using just water, not as much dirt is likely to be removed and the surface isn't as smooth.

Doing this, it's likely that you're reducing micro-marring.

That's the theory any way - in my head. Whether or not it works is up to the end user.

Granted my car only gets dusty and a lot of that is probably being removed when I rinse the vehicle. I don't use a soap bucket anymore unless I'm washing a vehicle that is extremely dirty and I'm also doing a pre-soak with the foam gun. I haven't seen an increased amount of swirls since I started doing it this way either. It makes it a lot easier and a lot "nicer" of a wash. I wasn't really too keen on the whole concept until my girlfriend bought it for me and I used it once. Ever since than I HATE washing a vehicle without it. I'm sold and I'll recommend it to anyone.

Looks great, but for $65+ I'll hold out. Anyone have a decent one for under $20 or $30?
