Hit and Run

Well I came out of work today and noticed a nice new dent and white paint on my bumper . I have a chrome bumper. Is there anyway to get rid of the paint and dent without replacing the bumper? I'll post some pics later when my camera battery charges. Thanks.

Depends on the amount of damage on whether or not it's salvagable...

The paint transfer can probably be dealt with but, it's a lost cause if you're going to have to replace the bumper. Unfortunately, heavier gauge metal (like a bumper) doesn't pop out nearly as easy or as uniform as say, a body panel.

Most all of the paint-less dent repair guys won't even bother with a bumper...

I hate to tell you -- and this is sight unseen so I could be totally off my rocker (and some will argue that I already am) -- but, it's very likely that you'll have to replace it.
