Summer Detail

Alright guys, I've finally got some spare time to do a full detail. My class was canceled tomorrow so I figured what better time to try out my new products.

Here is my new procedure ...
  • Wash with Foam Gun + Dried with Blower
  • Clay with PB's Clay & Meguiars Quick Detailer
  • #80 with G100
  • PB's Black Hole with G100
  • PB's EX Sealant
  • #16

I'm currently about to start on the application of the Black Hole. I just came in to get a drink and take a quick break to rest my back. It's a pain in the *** detailing a car so low to the ground. It's a lot different than doing a lifted F150 on 37s that's for sure.

I'll be posting pictures once I finish the job ...

The PB clay is sticky. Which Meguiars clay? I usually only use the consumer grade, never handled any other clay. I've never had the need for a more aggressive clay.

I don't know how your washing your car right now? It was in the 60's here and I know it has to be colder up by you.

Making the switch to poorboys? I've slowly been adding PB's to my stash.

I added up what I've spent between ADS and AutoGeek in the past month. it was around $600. I could have a Chip Foose Stallion for that monthly payment.

Ya it was cold but I don't mind the cold. I will say this though. I'm extremely extremely impressed with the PB products. Did I mention I'm extremely impressed? The Black Hole polish has a grape scent to it and it smells awesome. It applies super easy and removes even easier. I was amazed !! I just applied the EX Sealant and I'm waiting to remove it. I'm super happy with the results so far. I can't wait to see what it looks like after the EX Sealant is removed and I get the #16 on the car !!

Just removed the EX Sealant, came off super easy as did it go on. I really like these products. I'm glad I purchased them, kind of upset I didn't order them earlier. Tomorrow morning I'm going to apply the #16 by hand to finish it off. I'll post pictures tomorrow guys.

Hmm, this makes me wonder. Perhaps I can fit in a detail this weekend to try out these products.

Maybe. I always take forever doing a detail because I spend so much time using #80 to get every last swirl or imperfection out of my paint.

Wish I could afford Black Hole.... I can barely afford to drive my truck right now, let alone buy more product for it.
