Another thing you can do is wipe the paint down with prep- sol.

Not only do these wipe downs prepare the surface for your LSP, but they also remove any oils in the polish which may be hiding imperfections. So, as you're polishing you want to do these wipe downs after wiping the polish off to make sure the surface is perfect. VERY few people do this, mostly the perfectionists. So is it something you guys need to do? Well i recommend doing it before applying your LSP. But should you do it as you polish to insure a perfect finish? Thats probably something the majority of people here dont need to worry about.
Wow, thanks for the tip. Of those cleaner fluids, which one would you say works the best?

If it wasnt for the wind here, I would have done that. As much as I didnt liek it at first, I am starting to kinda like the idea... Only the wind here makes my truck in a constant dust... thus ANY extra touching of the paint is forbidden. I am trying to minimize swirling for the most part by limiting contact with the paint.

Speaking of contact with the paint, at the Fire Dept yesterday, several people were leaning on my truck... NOOO!!! (They are all senior to me and dont understand... Being young, I get enough crap, so I am not about to jump all over them...until I get a scratch...) Okay, back tot he regularly scheduled programming...

I really like P21s. Its the only wax I use now. Very easy to use and it looks great on white.

Really like Collinite 845 right now, though I really want to give P21 a try.
