Unhappy Best way to clean Exhaust tips

Hi guys, I've been browsing the forum for quite a while but this is my first post. Anyone have any suggestions on how to best clean my exhaust tips? I have a Magnaflow dual exhaust but I've noticed that the exhaust tips don't shine like they once did.......a lot of scratches too!!!

I picked up a bottle of Diamond Brite truck box polish over at Lowes the other day. We are going to try it on the stainless steel tips on my stepdaughter's Catera. Debating whether to pick up a Mothers mini powerball to do it with.

I was told to wash the tip, clay it, then use some Megs NXT metal polish. I hope this is true. I know there are many ways to resolve this issue I just hope that this is one of the correct ways.

There's really no *wrong* way to clean up exhaust tips unless you get pissed off and go after them with sandpaper or a blowtorch....

It's just some methods may work better than others. It also depends what the material is - stainless, chrome, etc.

Good procedure especially for products that are widely available.

I'd follow the directions. I don't think getting them hot is going to be good for it but I could be wrong.

Well the best way to clean our tips is to use Eagle One Wire Wheel Cleaner or any Alcohol Based Polish.

What about the Eagle One Chrome Wheel Cleaner? I've used it before with good results. I just wouldn't be using them often, especially on wheels. They are very harsh. It will burn your hands and sting your nostrils.

Well we suggest the Eagle One Wire Wheel Clearner. But like I said that you can use any Alcohol Based Polish too. Sometimes those tips will get a gold appearance and we always suggest the Eagle One Wire Wheel Clearner.
