Megs #16 vs. Nattys Blue

I decided to do a little test of Megs #16 and Nattys Blue. Each applied to half the hood of my truck over EX-P.

Applied

Removed

So far I'd say they are pretty equal in looks and ease of application removal, as long as you apply THIN. I'll update on the durability and ease of cleaning of each side.

Sweet, good test but which side is which? #16 really needs to be applied carefully. If you apply too much, you're going to hate your life.

The cans are by the windshield.

I'm not sure if it's just the lighting but it does look like the #16 has a little more depth and shine to it.

I was looking at it also and I think that the light is just over the #16 thats why it pops a little better.

Your not kidding even a little bit. First time I used it, I hated it for that reason.

It would have been really fun to get the truck in perfectly even lighting and NOT show which side was which to see if we could guess...

great test....

My .02, I don't think anyone can really tell the difference...as for durability, I think the Megs will outlast Natty's for sure.

Great test though.

interested in the end results.

I believe #16 is one of the best waxes, definitely the best wax in my arsenal. It looks amazing and for a carnuba it has GREAT durability.

We got a little rain today, so I took a few pictures of the water beading of the hood. The #16 does seem to bead a little tighter than the Nattys. Does that mean anything? Probably not, but it is kinda cool.

Nice color truck

I want to get into detailing but my garage door isn't tall at all and it barely fit stock, and now i know it wont fit with a lift on it...

But your truck looks great!

So the plan is:

Wash
#80
QD
Blackhole
#21(or EXP if it gets here)
Nattys Blue (i looked around and damn.... it looks good)
Ultimate Detailer

Thanks for the help guys... I want to try the Nattys blue thump... and just see how she looks... No offense.

ON EDIT: Wow i am in the wrong post... sorry

Looks like a good plan to me, i would hold off until you get the EX-P though so you don't have to wait the 12 hours needed to top #21. You can get some interesting streaks with 21 if you use your LSP too soon on it.

As for Natty's blue, you will not be disappointed.
