Im not going to lie. I'm going to take a pic like that, blow it up to around 24x24 and put it in my garage. I've got to find a place around the 1500 beer can collection I've got going.

I wanted the XTi, but the local WallyWorld had the XT on closeout for $450. Hard to pass up.

lucky...

I want the Rebel XTi...

Well, really, I want the Canon 40D, but since it is so expensive, the Rebel will do fine...

Right now I shoot with the Olympus FE230 (nice for P&S, but not an SLR...) and an Olympus OM-10 (film SLR)

I have to have at least 10 Megapixels in order to sell anything...

No reason in particular... The guy at Best Buy says go for Canon, so since its not like I can afford one now anyway, I am not too worried...

Why? You wanna sell your D40? I would happily buy it pending it's in proper working condition (seriously, though, I would)

I will say that you know someone is using good stuff when you see the big white telephoto lenses... I want one, but they cost SO much!!!

I was photographing a HS band concert tonight, and since my telephoto lens is not very bright, I found myself not using the cool-looking lens... I was using the itty bitty one with a HUGE aperture that allowed me to shoot at all of 1/30th of a second (The tele was going to have to shoot at over a second, and a pro next to me was getting to go for 1/125 and 1/250... LUCKY!!!)

My digi camera only had 3-4 turn out. The other 100+ I took on that one were trashed. I need a DSLR. Now.

Okay, this is WAY OT, so I will stop my 8itchin...

Where do you live again???

Have you used both the D40 and the 40D? If so, I am interested to see your reasoning behind going Nikon rather than Canon...

Florida. I've used Nikon products in the past and got amazing customer service from them so I'm going to stick with them. I ended up getting a ton of dirt in my old camera from it being at the track when I raced motocross. Well something happened inside, I sent it off to Nikon to get it fixed. I was going to pay for it. I got it back, they cleaned it and fixed the part for me. I looked at the invoice, $0.00. I was like and that's why I'm staying with Nikon.

PS: I haven't used the 40D. However everyone I ever talk to says if you're going Nikon or Cannon, it's not going to make a difference which way you go. You're going to have an awesome camera regardless.

I am taking my 4th year of Journalism in my school and I'm in the Yearbook department and this year I'll be photo editor for the whole yearbook. We use 2x Canon Rebel @ 10MP but the sad part is that we have 2 cards only 512MB each. I love them and took one home one weekend and took pics of me going inverted! I'm going to get one for Christmas as my personal camera.

was just walking by the camera aisle, and saw the big yellow card. I had to ask a couple of times what the catch was.

Pictures look okay, would look more impressive with a smaller aperture and more depth of field.

Talking

Bummer! What we really need are pics of water beading WITH scantilly clad chicks mingling with the beads.
