It doesn't look like it. It looks like a bad seal.

Yes I did....

The axle was quite dry, so I cleaned it up, and HD'd.

Also did the spare tire, leaf springs, parts of the frame rails, shocks, etc. etc.

Spending an extra 10 minutes in these areas really makes a difference. Especially on the F150s. You can see so much frame from the side - why not HD it?
