Detailing Noob

alright i wanna detail the truck tomorrow

and honestly i think my truck got a bad clearcoat or something from the factory cus it scratches real easy and they dont come out

but ive got swirls, scuffs, scratches, chips, and old stuck on wax

so i guess what im asking for is any help on what i should do to try and help out my paint a little

How long have you had the truck? I might have not been taken care of before you got hold of it. It is a 7 year old black truck. So without constant attention it's going to be looking a little shabby.

May be off base but just a thought.

Pics will help.

I agree. I think the best idea for you to is to read the sticky at the top of the forum. It'll give you a VERY good idea on what you need to do.

The only real way for swirl and minor scratch elimination is a Porter Cable 7424 and some good polishes, MF buffer pads, and a free afternoon.
