Angry Meg's Detailing DVD

i bought about $300 bucks worth of stuff from the ADS site last week and today i decided to purchase the detailing DVD. i thought that $24.95 was a bit steep for a DVD but i said what the hell, i could use the tips and tricks that some of you say that's on there.

so when i went to the site, they want another $10 for shipping! that's 35 bucks! hell, they can ship that thing USPS in one of those bubble plastic packages for about a buck! 35 dollars seems like robbery to me!

is there a site that has this vid for download? i can't see spending 35 dollars for a dvd that is pressed for a few cents a piece!

Supply & Demand. Not to mention shipping is expensive now a days. I'd love for you to try to go get something shipped for a buck.

the u.s. postal service has envelopes similar to this and they'll ship a dvd/cd anywhere in the u.s. for a buck and some change.

That envelope costs more than a buck, especially from the Post Office, and that doesn't include the shipping. Even media mail isn't all that cheap anymore, and that wouldn't qualify as media mail anyway.

What's wrong with Meg's making some money for their intellectual property? You don't think people work for free, do you?

that DVD is pretty informative.... i wanted to see it before even ordering my DA but will be doing so shortly....

$10 for shipping seems high for just a DVD, so I just used it as an excuse to get some other new stuff from ADS!

It's not just ADS though. People need to also remember gas prices are all time high which causes shipping to be more expensive. Not only does ADS have to pay for shipping for a lot of stuff, they might even have to drive to take it some place which could also increase shipping costs.

I don't know if you have been paying attention to gas prices but UPS and USPS are both affected. Call **** Chaney and tell him to lower the cost of oil cause your mad your DVD costs too much. Or, buy the thing when you need some other stuff to save on the shipping.

Hope that didn't come off as a rip but dude, crap costs more now. Buy in bulk and save some coin.

And, just to add...

This is NOT a Meguiar's DVD. This DVD was published and copywriten by Mike Phillips. Mike works for Meguiar's but, this is a separate project.

I know Mike quite well - I've stayed at his house overnight - and I can tell you, he's a very good detailer. The information on the DVD isn't ground breaking but for someone who has not used a PC or other mechanical device to properly 'correct' paint, it's a VERY good resource.
