Meguiars Scratch X Rules!

NO NO NO NO NO.....
Shines,
The reason why you will need/want and should re polish and wax (LSP) the entire truck is b/c it will show where you only used the SX on the surface. In fact, pending how hard you rubbed the area it can also become dulled or appear to be scrached while the rest of the surface won't match.
Example. Take a pair of your dress shoes. Polish one and not the other. Put them on and you will quickly notice one is done and one isn't. Same thing with SX If you use it on a small area, you will see where it was used and the rest of the surface will look dull and dirty still. Even if you do it in small patches, you'll now have polished patches.
Use the SX to work on problem spots but polish and re-wax the entire truck.

My recommendation, if you are only working by hand?
Get a clay bar kit and do the whole thing. Then examine it and use more ScratchX where needed. Then get a bottle of ColorX or Megs DC Step 1 cleaner and do the whole thing. Go have a few beers and take a break, then finish up with something like NXT 2.0. I think you will be very pleased with the results but the OCD'ers here won't be.
