Pet peeves...

What are your pet peeves, just curious to see if I'm alone out there...and maybe truly OCD..lol

My big one is Fingerprints on the door(I have a black truck). I make my GF close her side of the door using the vinyl under the window.

The other is eating/drinking in the truck. I can do it, but noone else.

No, your not alone. Heres what pisses me off...

girlfriend eating/drinking in my truck
putting her feet on the dash board
tracking mud/sand/dirt/grass in (i even armorall my rubber floor mats..:o )
slamming the truck door
finger prints on the windows/paint
no smoking in it, i dont like trash being put in the ashtray or in the side of the doors.

I NEVER let anyone drive it. I even write down the mileage before i bring it to the dealer for oil changes, brakes, ect.. to see if someone has been driving it more then they needed.

  • No parking/driving on unpaved surfaces or dusty/dirty areas.
  • No parking near other vehicles whenever possible (hate the fact most people don't care about door dings even in newer/more expensive vehicles)
  • No dirty shoes, cloths, greasy hands etc.
  • No drinks that don't have a cap.
  • No food. When I say, go down to the shore, you'll see me and friends eating on the tail gate, heh.
  • No smoking or tobacco chewing/spitting
  • Stepping on the plastic guard as you get in leaving shoe marks

Work truck/beater, almost anything goes, you can smoke, eat, have a party in it. (It's still kept clean however)

I forgot my two most important ones, heh.
  • No driving in the rain/bad weather when possible (hate having the undercarriage rusting and rotting out - the frame of my vehicle shines just like the paint)
  • ABSOLUTELY No gassing up at shady gas stations - when a standard economy vehicle pings and detonates on a certain stations "so-called" premium fuel, it's definitely going to blow the motor on my Lightning as 1) its knock sensors are disabled in the tune and 2) the forced induction amplifies the damage of pre ignition ten fold. We gassed up our one work truck at this one station and right after it would die out at every stop and it's a 2004 truck. It didn't return to normal until it was empty and we gassed up at another station. Another small/shady station in town near me got shut down where people where complaining of poor performance after gassing up there and they went out and tested their gas and caught them red handed.

And then even ANOTHER station near me got caught selling 87 as 92 premium! I would of burned down the station if they sold me 87 as 92 and blew my truck up! I now only gas up at a American owned/run station that's a personal friend of the family and is also a car guy with Lightnings and Z06s - Shell V-Power from a legit station FTW.

We got alot of uptight freaks here!

I take care of my truck, but I dont obsess about it being clean 24/7. I go hunting and fishing with mine, fly up and down dirt roads, I use it lol. If theres a spill I will get at it asap but my once a week interior cleaning is good enough.

Outside I wash every 1 - 2 weeks, clay bar, polish, and wax every season. So I guess i'm the detailer that lives a little

Its still a truck right? J/K I like to let people do whatever and then see if I can fix it. Good practice on a 30k+ vehicle. I do well under pressure.

In no particular order:
Dents & scratches "appearing" whilst my truck is parked.
Rain the day after I cleaned it.
Snow, I really hate it & what it does to my vehicles.
Idiots that pull out in front of me when there is nothing behind.
