Whats your favorite swirl remover?

I've been giving poorboys a try lately and I like them but, I still like #80. Its so user friendly. I've heard so many things about other products though that I figured I'd call the pros before I try anything new.

I use #27? Meguir's and it seems to work good, that with Eagle One Nanowax. The combination works good and lasts longer than what I used to use. I haven't been up on my detailing in a few years so I'm not aware of newer products. Hell the other day I got Nanowax brand new for $4.99, why? Maybe a reduction sale? I was pleased even though there is better waxes, it was a great deal even if I only used it on my bicycle. I use the #27 or #9 swirl remover, one of those numbers and apply by hand. Like I said, it works nice.

I have been looking at Menzerna products to try. I have no idea where to start though. I just saw this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yht1uHJLNlQ

I like the one step swirl removal. Even with SSR2 or #80 I haven't gotten all out in one pass. And yes I have spent 5-6 minutes on a 12x12.

Menzerna Super Intensive Polish is one of the best. Expensive for a polish though. Poorboys SSR's are good too but you will get a lot of dusting.

You talkin about w/ a DA or by hand? Im guessing DA, if so, #80 is probably the preferred choice around these parts... Getting swirls out by hand just sucks, i gave up untill i get a DA.

My only real experience is with Tropi-Care TC-8. I really like it, but it is a little dusty. I also use 3M Perfect-It II when I neet a more cutting power.

Here you on the dusting, yes poorboys is my preferred swirl remover but it has some flaws. other than that ssr2.5 works great and dosent dull the paint so bad. and the all smell AMAZING

I know Jp uses some of the Menzerna polishes. That one black truck that he posted awhile back came out pretty damn good.

Depending on the paint, even 106ff will be a GREAT swirl remover AND it polishes like a **** to a nice, deep, dark finish. 106ff on black paint is unreal.

but I also employ SIP, 80, or 83 when need be for swirls. In some cases I have even gone PFW and M105.

All via FLEX.

#80. I've never tried the Merzena polishes but I will be trying some very soon. Hopefully that'll be my go to product for paint correction.

What are your favorite application techniques for SIP?

depends on vehicle, condition, color, time, money being paid, etc. normally though it tends to be orange LC pad spread lightly on paint, get the speed to 1500, sip starts becoming clear, bump up to 1700 and do a few quick passes then step the speed down to 1000. if the orange LC doesnt work, PFW is what I try next. If that doesnt work. Its a whole new ball game. 95,105, 3m compound, etc.
