Black WOW Question

I went to use this for the first time today. I wiped the trim down with M39. I applied BW, and buffed the excess off. I washed the car, and the trim became...splotchy? I reapplied it to the trim when I was finished drying, and it will be going back under the car cover tomorrow, but was wondering if I did something wrong? I saw the tip about applying it right before you wash, but that only seemed to make it worse?

I'd just like to get this figured out so when I go to use it on another vehicle, I don't have this problem. Only thing I can think of is I applied it too thick, but wasn't able to buff all of the excess off.

Let it dry for a day then wash the truck.

Keep us posted. I'd like to get some BW and see how it works.

If all goes well, I will be washing again here in a couple of days to get all the bugs and dirt off from my Sacramento run yesterday. I will let you know!

I've seen a few disgruntled users on Autopia with this product lately...kinda weird.

Hope it works out for you

Hmmm... I LOVED BW, and I know JP (ie: RollingRock) did, too. So has everyone else I know that has used it...

Just remember: use a SMALL amount, and dont be scared to apply, let dry overnight, buff off, then do another coat the same way.

Mine was done several months ago, and it STILL looks AMAZING and beads like CRAZY.

Good luck, ya'll

Is this the same method JP used? I was thinking of doing the same thing.

I guess it has to be garaged overnight while it cures so **** doesn't stick to it?

And would you do this before or after a full detail/polish/wax job?

Dont know... I'll ask him later on. I didnt garage mine when I did it though-- I dont have enough garage space to do so. All the **** wipes off when you buff out.

I did this AFTER a detailing job. Why? I dunno... I dont think it will matter, but I prefer to let is be on there as LONG as possible before using any car wash on it.
