Michigan Winter (& the rest of the year) Paint Protection

What do you folks use to protect your paint during the winter months?

I don't have access to a heated garage, so waxing during the winter is impossible, and washing is limited to spraying the salt off at the local coin operated car wash.

I'm a bit lazy when it comes to car care. My only concern is protecting the finish on my investment, not a dazzling show car shine.

Thanks for the advice.
Tim

Where in Michigan do you live? There are a few waxes that are available that last about 3 to 4 months. You could use Megs #16 or try Collinite 845 IW is one that is highly recomeded by the elders. I am sure one of the detailing elders will provide some more pin point advice on what will work best.

Collinite 845 is what Id use if I were you. Although, I dont know how soon winter is for you, but Id say you have a little bit of time to prepare your vehicle for it.

#16 or that collinite will be your best bet.
Maybe NXT 2.0 topped with #16? That can never go bad.

Ps. why do you have 2 threads on the same thing?

I've possibly been called out on this, but in my very limited experience, NXT 2.0 seems to be quite durable. It is a synthetic sealer. It never hurts to top the NXT with a good carnauba, but I honestly don't know how durable it is compared to NXT. Maybe it will be 2 lines of defense?
