OCD starts early

My daughter is not yet 3 years old. Yesterday she wants to go outside and play. To my suprise, she goes into the garage and grabs a car wash pail and old sponge- and pitches a fit until I put Gold Class in the pail so she can wash "her truck".

So I watched her. She was immitating what she sees me doing. She washes the whole "truck" down, then goes to work on the wheel wells, under the hood. She even grabbed the can of Stoners to try and clean the fake front window.

I helped her dry it off, then we coat a coat of NXT on it (even though its plastic). Later in the day she was pouring pool water on the hood and saying, "beads". I may have corrupted my kid

That's hilarious. Just think about it this way you're very lucky, you could have a kid that wants to throw trash all over your truck.

THats awesome!!! I remember when I got hooked I was more like 11 and dad and I waxed our Jeep Grand Cherokee, it was like the first year, 94 or 93 and we kept that so clean. Washing and waxing etc all the time.

Then I became the ocd one and he was like you can clean up the cars I ll jsut watch the races etc.

Except I call lastnight and hes handglazing our restored 55 Ford today. Without me I was pissed.

The 74 Mustang gets cleaned every Indy 500 day, except this yr. too busy at the races.

That's hilarious!

Between that, Jolly_Green_Giant's kid's expertise with a rotary and RollingRock's daughter's love of hyper dressing we have a whole breed of OCD'ers in years to come!

Congrats on the helper! They sure do come in handy for grabbing something you forgot, especially when they know what it is!

My helper. She had just turned 3 here, getting ready to help me wash the old commuter car.

She now knows about the 2 bucket method (always asking me why I have 2 buckets), knows what brushes are for what (one for the wheels and another for the tires), mitts for paint, spray "that stuff" on the paint when drying, spray "that stuff" on the tires...
