I use Meguiars NXT glass cleaner on my laptop LCD. No problems. I would avoid any ammonia containing cleaners, especially for touch screen.

Lazy? You have more energy/willingness to doctor up a cleaner than walk down the isles of walmart

Yep, less is more. Like the other reply, distilled water and an MF cloth, just damp, wipe with as little pressure as needed. I do this with our LCD computer displays as well as the plasma TV.

Some alcohol in the water is safe - my recipe is essentially what commercial eyeglasses cleaner is. With a touchscreen - and other LCD's - plain water isn't going to cut the greasy fingerprints, you need some alcohol or other greasecutting solvent. Too much alcohol is going to evaporate too fast and lead to scratching and streaking.
