ive used the gold-class paste on mine and i personally cant tell a difference between regular or waxed when it comes to the rain beads. the only thing i did notice is that it made my blades "jump" mid stroke.

That's what happens everytime I've ever used RainX on my windshield. That, and it seems like the fog up a lot. What works really well for me is Adam's Brilliant Spray Glaze. Also known as Chemical Guy's Express Carnauba. It really helps give the windows some pop and acts like RainX is supposed to but without all the problems RainX has given me.

I tried it once, and that was all it took for me to know never to do it again.

Wash with the rest of the vehicle. Dry. Clean with window cleaner (Sprayway or Stoner's IG.) Clay if you want to make sure and then I'd clean them again with window cleaner to make sure clay residue is gone. Then wax or whatever you want to apply. I hardly ever apply anything though. It usually lasts a while.

Don't wax the windshield. It's fine to wax the rest of the windows. Yes, the water will bead off the windshield, but if you DO turn on the wipers you will have a smeary mess. If you want to use anything on the windshield, use RainX and follow the directions. It must be buffed in and off thoroughly.

I use UQD. It effectively does the same thing as Rain-X without the sore arms from buffing it off.

I just clay my windows and it seem to work fine with no problems. water runs right off too. I also tried to use no touch window stripper and it worked pretty good too. just got to be careful with that and not get it on the trim or paint.

Same.

I've also used light coats of various waxes in the past without issue.
