I'm trying to remove the Roush racing stripes - HELP!
So, I have the eraser to remove the stripes and it works ok, but it takes forever! Is there any type of liquid that I can put on the stripes to make them bubble up like paint stripper does and then scrape it off?
I know to not put stripper on the stripes, I'm just using that as an example.
The stripes are very very thin and brittle and will not pull off but in small pieces at one time.
I have used adhesive remover, the eraser and drill, plastic razor blades, WD40, elbow grease and nothing is easy about any of it. I figured it would take a while but this is crazy. There HAS to be an easier way.
Any thoughts?
I have a detailer to buff out the truck when I'm done, but I'd like to do this quicker.
TIA

I have but the stripes are so thin, you can only pull off small chips - like dime size! This is going to take forever this way. The eraser works best but it's slow as hell too.
I read somewhere that label remover works but I'm not sure if it damages paint. Label remover can be bought at homebrew shops to take off bottle labels... I think I'll stop by one of these shops tomorrow to see if I can pick some up and try it.
Removing these stripes suck!

I've found this: http://www.signwarehouse.com/FL-RE-p...YLOFF-8OZ.html
Not sure about it, but it's worth a try I suppose.

I second the WD40 + Heat method. I've done this before with good results. First of all, IMO, don't risk the paint using some kind of specialized solvent based stripper or abrasive product (use as last resort) -especially when you have to leave the stripper on for a seemingly lengthy period of time on your paint to work.-Scary!
Using readily available household products, I sprayed a section of the pinstriping with WD40, then heated it using the wife's hair dryer until the adhesive was softened up by the heat. Wiped clean with cotton terry cloth. Kept the area lubricated with WD40 as I continued to make several passes to wipe the adhesive off. Wash car thoroughly.
You will be tempted to use your fingernail to assist removal- don't do it! Also, work in sections at a time.
