I would've been VERY interested in sitting there and staking it out to see if someone showed back up... My fist and their nose may have had an impromptu meeting.

I **AM** glad you got it back though, R. Very glad!

Good to hear you got your truck back. I bet it's unnerving and satisfying at the same time.

same thing happened to my sister... car was stolen, and 4 days later they called her and told her that the car was sitting at so and so place, go get it...

she got a police escort and when they got there, sure enough, there it was locked and nothing was stolen.... losts of baby stuff and A LOT of personal info.... that's why you keep all personal info locked up ( in your house) when not needed...

the police wouldn't do squat for her after she got it... she wanted to trace the phone number of who called her and find out who did it... they said" be glad you got your car back, we can do no more" and no justice was served.... said it was a normal thing for a weekend joy ride...

i can only imagine what that car went through though... thats even better then a rental car!

glad you got it back, you sure are lucky!

time for an alarm?

Let me assure you-- I would... except based on the rain/dry spot, we think it had been parked a MINIMUM of 2-3 days already, posssibly up to 2 weeks...

Yep... Weird situation, but I'm definitely thankful.

??? closer to 100 miles and sucking down 1/2 tank of gas... yeah, the tires/clutch show it. I'm getting the clutch fixed soon under warranty and the tires I'll deal with later.... they're still ok...

Anywho.....

He most likely got his truck back because it wasn't a 4wd and couldn't be used to run immigrants across the border out in the desert. Usually they strip all the seats except the drivers out and pack illegals in the cab (usually supercrews/crew cabs) and maybe the bed. Then the ditch the truck after they are done, and usually they are full of dents and deep scratches with a stripped stinky interior. Literally the interiors smell like bo and poop. I've seen pictures of a piece of wood strapped to the frames of the super dutys that are stolen. Some reason they are packing the beds full of heavy stuff and needed wood for the body of the truck to sit on since it was so heavy.
