Need to clean tire

Ok, so because I got a flat my old spare tire is on my good rim up front. Three years of sitting under the truck has not done it good, and I'd like to get it looking as good as possible.

Pics,

A really stiff brush, some simple green or all purpose cleaner and some elbow grease should get it looking nice agian.

It may take a couple tries due to 3 years of sitting however. heh

Also, i know it's condemned around here but Wesleys Bleach White cleans tires amazingly, spray it on scrub it in and wash it off. This may work wonders for you bc it is stronger than simple green. Just make sure DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR PAINT OR RIMS. It'll eat em up if you let it sit for too long. Just wash it away as soon as your done.

Simple Green diluted 4:1 and a stiff bristled brush should take care of that for you.

SG straight is fine. When you dilute the SG it still works the same it's more of a money saving issue to me. I can easily use a whole bottle in 1-2 good details. 1 bottle =$4 and if you dilute 4:1 you can save a couple bucks to supply the nasty detailing habit.

No, there's a little more work involved than that. This is how I do it. Dilute the SG 1:1, spray and let sit for 2-3 minutes then respray, unless the tire is hot then get to work right away. Use a stiff bristle brush and scrub for a good minute or 2 and you should have some shiny black tires. Don't forget to roll the rig forward or back to get the spots you missed cause no matter how hard you try you will never get that spot and it will bug the crap outta you until the next detail. I usually wash the rims with soap and water and the end of the wash. SG is fine for the rims as long as you wash it off

Go to WallyWorld and get a bottle of Bleach White. Spray it on, let it sit until almost dry, hit it again and spray if off with water. When dry put on a good protectant.

On hard road grime I've had about the same luck with Simple Green as I did with regular car wash soap.

One thing I think your missing. Simple Green isn't gonna be a spray on/rinse off tire cleaner. You have to SCRUB the tire.

While BW does work at cleaning your tires, there are safer chemicals to use.

I second the stiff brush, but I'd go full strength Simple Green. Follow up with your favorite tire dressing. IMO
