Mothers Wax

Hey i have a Quick question. Does anyone like mothers wax? i know 95 percent of people on here go for meguires but i have personally tried all the meguires and never have been really impressed. It seems like every mothers wax product works far better. I recently purchased some FX SynWax and that was the best i have ever used easy on easy off and the truck shined for weeks. Just wanted to see what other peoples opnions were.

Thanks

I use Mothers products pretty exclusively and prefer them over Megs.

Works for me

How the Black looks

How the Silver looks

I use to use Mother Syn wax all the time and it was a good wax, I even liked it better the NXT. But since then Collinite 845 and Wolfgang 3.0 are far superior in looks and protectent.

I tend to use a lot of Megs products now because many here and on other boards use them - so there is a wealth of knowledge that can be shared.
If I am having trouble with a megs product, someone is always willing to offer up their experiences with a suggestion to improve my technique and results.

I have used many Mothers products with success and generally dont have many complaints about them. Use what works well for you. If your hard work pays off in terms of results, thats what matters. Hell, I am almost embarassed to say, Years ago when I got hooked on detailing, I was able to achieve great results using NuFinish

Sometimes its more about your technique than just the products manufacturer

I don't know how many frieds and people I know that I could sit down and write them my exact recipe, but no matter what, their vehicles just would not look like mine!

I too have been thinking about switching to Mothers, mainly because I can get everything at wholesale all the time. But I'm a Meguiars guy too and I'm also one of those guys that hates to experiment with the new when I have something that works great and I'm happy with.

It's not what you use, it's how you use it. There are people who get great results with Billy Mays waxes and NuFinish.

I really doubt you have tried all of the Meguiars products. Meguiars makes a lot of products. Maybe you just mean over the counter which in that case, you are missing out on a lot of products. I'm not really a huge Meguiars fan but there are a few products that I really like. There are some products that just can't be denied by anyone. Like #105.

very true. Over the counter megs line is more for mainstream weekend warrior car buffs- not necessarily for the serious detailer who is **** about results.

I like both. Depends on which one I grab. But typically, I never wax without claying it first.

Yep-- tried mothers. Yep. Like it a lot. In fact, I think Synwax vs. NXT Generation is a battle EASILY won by Synwax for its ease of use.

I typically go Meguiars, but mostly because of cost effectiveness. But yes, there is a good portion of my stash dedicated to Mothers...

Moral of the story: Use whatever works for YOU. It is YOUR happiness that has to be gained-- nobody elses. And fear not- Mothers is a respected brand out there.
