Meg's Ultimate Quick Detailer

Great stuff! I picked up my first bottle the other day and used it after a quick hose-down. Truck looks so good after a simple wipe-down with this stuff. I did it a few days ago and this morning a few people on campus told me my truck looks really clean.

Definitely will come in handy between heavy details and when I don't have the time for a long wash. Looks like it's just been detailed.

A+

Believe it or not but I like Quik Detailer better than Ultimate Quik Detailer, Am I the only one?

I've never tried the original. This is the first quick detailer I've used. What do you like about the original that makes you like it better?

Don't get me wrong. I think there both great. Maybe its the color of my truck or something but I think Megs Quik Detailer makes it shine a little better. This could just be my eyes. As of right now I'm not using either one. I use #34 Final Inspection as a quik detailer. but I do keep a bottle of the org.

The UQD is designed to be used on finishes that have been protected by a synthetic wax such as NXT - it has polymer boost capabilities.

No, you are not. The QD seems to have a bit more lubricity than the UQD. Makes it a little harder to induce swirls and what not.

...... i do like the smell of UQD though!

Wow. we must have two very different noses. hehe
I think the stuff smells RANK! It works great and looks great.
I just couldn't get over that what to me was a stench.

But I "am" an odditiy since I didn't like NXT wax either.

So right back to Meg's Final Detail I went.

I used to use Meg's but now I am hooked on Griot's Speed Shine. Used it once and never looked back.

The regular QD and #34 seem as if they have better lubrication as to not induce swirls however after a wash i always touch up with UQD to help boost the polymers from NXT wax

Gah. Still can't wait to get my hands on a DA. Spring time. It's coming.

The two products have two different intended uses.

The original Quik Detailer is meant to be used as a cleaner, and clay lubricant. The new Ultimate Quik Detailer is a beautifying agent that also provides a substantial amount of water sheeting ability.

I personally use Meguiar's Last Touch as my first step of "quick detailing" as the lubricity is just plain amazing. It also tends to darken the paint.

Then I follow that step with a step of UQD. The final results are ridiculous and it will SHEET water off of the car like you have never seen before. It's legit.
