H I D lens turned cloudy

hay guys my hid lens on my driver side is in the sun all day at my job and half of my truck is under the shade but never mind that the side in the sun is turned cloudy some one said thay can polish it back to its old shen or shin and wanted $200 to do it just wanerd have eny one ever had this problem and fixed it? and if so how did you fix it? some one told me a light rubbing compound will bring back the shin what do you think?

well its your headlight. not HID lens. HID is a bulb. and Plast-X works pretty well on them. its a rubbing compound

And running new plastic sealant around the lens would solve the leak.

cool so what the old guy at parts store told me was true thanks guy for the feed back and as for my friend shootnstarz was very tired and yes should have used spellchecker sorry it bothered you! next time don't read my post if its such a big problem? thanks guys for the help

Works both ways, dude - it's not always easy to tell if someone is kidding in print, you forgot the smiley. Also, if you want to dish it out, you have to accept it in return. To me, you just came across as just as much of a jerk as I probably did to you. You need to lighten up too.

well a sucker is born every minute...the entire housing is less than $200 for oem lamp housing....someone would have to be a true idiot to pay $200 to have one freshend up

remember what Rodney king said, CANT WE ALL JUST GET A LONG! hay i was yank-en shoots chain. now do i have to send doth of you to your room with out dinner, or to the time out corner? but hay thanks for the laugh
