Machine washable pads q's

I have the 2.0 soft buff pads that are washable my question is what settings do you use on the washer and do you use detergent with them or what?

Cold wash/rinse; regular laundry detergent with about 1/2 ounce of simple green and if they are cotton or wool pads, I add fabric softener
