Cleans up good for 9 years old...

man we just got a 70* day here in NJ and melted basically all the snow we had on Monday and my truck was a mess so heres how it turned out. just did something quick. wash, dry, then used a bottle of NXT Generation spray wax i had lying around and im very impressed with it, then NXT insane shine on the tires, and finally Mothers polish on wheels. turned out good for a quick job i think. didnt bother doing a full out detail being we may get more bad weather.

Before (after playing in the fields all week with the snow)

After

didnt take many pics but ya get the point haha. enjoy

pinstriping gotta go lol

Same here I was able to wash and dry my truck the 2nd time this year. Feels great to be able to hand wash it again. I hate just doing quick salt spray off blasts.

Your truck would look much better without the giant 4x4 decals and the Lariat pin striping. Some black 4x4 decals in the FX4 font style and smoked tail lamps and brake light would really improve the look of that thing. I cant wait until the warm May weather arrives. I'm smoking my rear lights and painting all of my dark gray trim to satin black first warm day we get.

yeah im thinking about taking off pinstriping. but with the 4x4 sticker i just dont know. idk if another color would look good on there let laone one that says FX4, because its not that trim level and thats kind of poser-ish to me haha. wheres a good site with some ford 4x4 stickers?

haha Darren-want to do a photoshop for me then with an FX4 decal and without the striping?

Never said FX4 stickers, I meant FX4 style stickers that say 4x4.

I can. Do you want an FX4 logo? I think black 4x4 decals and no stripping would really set your truck off.

Way ahead of ya. Already saved it and deleted the 4x4 decal and stripping, just looking for a good black 4x4 decal to use. If I cant find one i'll end up typing it in the closest font to the FX4 style that I can.

looks great! its still in the 30s here, and hasnt quite transitioned to rain yet.. its a mix still, so they are still salting on the heavier snow days. i cant wait till it stops. im gonna claybar then carnuba wax my truck. my arms are sore just thinking about it lol.

you can get 4x4 or fx4 stickers on ebay. just do a search for 4x4 sticker, or fx4 stickers. i was actually just looking at them because my 03 supercrew 4x4 doesnt have any stickers.. but i think i saw them in tan, which would match your 2 tone really well.. black would work too.

i think you should def. take off the pinstriping. i did it on an intrepid about a year ago. a little advice... use a credit card or simliar plastic... and a hair dryer. the hair dryer will heat it up and get the adhesive gooey. you might get lucky and be able to pull off the pins in long stips, and even luckier if all the adhesive comes off with it.

its a pia job but worth it in the end.

i would definately take the ford sticker off the back window. kinda tacky imo. i mean, who doesnt know its a ford f150? i dunno, im just not a fan of huge stickers like that, but whatever creams your twinkie lol.

Depends how well taken care of your paint is. How long have you had the truck and how much of its history do you know about? If it wasn't out in the sun for a few summers theres a real good chance there wont be any sun fading to your paint. If anything it would be very minimal. You could try picking at a spot and judge and see, and if it is re-cover it with a new pinstrip, kinda costly but its the only real way to find out. I would start by the Lariat stripping.

Here you go Rich.

Clean and stripless

And with the 4x4 decal i'm talking about

I probably should have brightened the dark bold look of the 4x4 decal to look more realistic but I think it would look pretty good, even without a 4x4 decal. You can find that decal at Patriot Decals. Scroll down to the "heres a list of 4x4 decals" 3rd one down, made it look like a 12" long one.

after lookin on patriotdecals i think an FX4 one in the tan with a custom saying underneath of it would be sweet. but i dont know what to say
