Removing 4X4 stickers

I'd like to remove the 4X4 stickers from my truck, but I've heard some horror stories about paint coming off. What is the best method for removing the stickers??

Just use a hair dryer and take your time, you'll be fine.

I pealed mine off with the truck in the sun on a 105* summer afternoon, hair dryer not needed. Be sure to peel the decals slowly and steadily, take your time and enjoy a job well done.

Used a heat gun on mine on a low setting. Take it slow. My first one tore a few times. Second one cam right off in one piece. Then wax afterwards. looks great without the stickers on.

It was 43* yesterday and I let mine warm up yesterday in the sun and they came off really easy with no residue left on the truck.
