Thanks for the reply RP. I will try to get some 105 but I'm not sure if it's something that might be hard to find in Canada just due to demand. I am in Seattle next week though, and if anyone know of a store that might carry it I will check it out while I'm there.

Any of the products that are going to be used for at least the first couple of stages will be done with my Rotary. But the final Polish and Wax will be done with my DA, as it makes quick work compared to doing it by hand.

If you don't mind ordering some online, eShine carries some Meguiars products, are located in Canada and Chris is a pretty good guy. He carries 105 but not 205. You could replace 205 with 80 though and still get good results.

Check out some of his specials as well. I just recieved an order from him today. I've ordered from him several times now, and I've also met him several times on cruise nights in the Falls (he's based in Port Colborne Ontario). He's a good guy and his prices and shipping are USUALLY tough to beat.

Approx how long does the shipment take to get out to you?

Well, considering I live in Ontario (about 1 hour from Port Colborne), and he ships via Canpar, it takes about 2 days. I placed my order late last Wednesday night and received it today. As you know Friday was a holiday, so it took 2 days since Canpar delivered to me today, even though it's Easter Monday.
If you go to Canpar's site I believe they give you an idea of how long it takes for different areas in the country. You'll get a tracking number e-mailed to you once it ships out as well. Chris ships out same day, or the next day. It just depends on when in the day the order has been placed.
Take advantage of what you can with your purchase because the price of shipping pretty much remains the same even with more items.

I ordered #105 and a rotary pad kit fro eshine.

Can I use #80 instead of #205 and get similar results?

I can't wait until it gets here

The 105 arrived in the mail today I picked up some #80 and I might try to tackle a fender or maybe the hood tomorrow to see what kind of results I get.

I'll post picks after I try it out.

It says on the bottle of 105 to use a wool pad, but I think I'll try the yellow Meg's pad I have to start with to keep any in-experienced "Opps" to a minimum.

Any input on technique appreciated.

don't go crazy with the 105 on painted plastic, the paint is much thinner there.

Both Bumpers have fresh paint so I won't do a whole lot on them. But the glass hood will probably be my starting point as it's the worst off and like I said before, if I mess it up, another ones going on this summer anyway.

how fresh?

to be safe, 90 days would be ideal, anything less, just be careful. Others have also said, 60 and sooner but I tend to air on the safe side.

They were painted right around 90 days ago. the paints is pretty nice, so I won't do a whole lot with the 105. I've been waiting until now to do a polish/wax/seal so the paint should be ready.

I just want to get out as many of the defects as I can in the old paint.
